Dennis Brown is a Vancouver based painter who works primarily in oils. All of the subject matter for his paintings is taken directly from life. Since childhood he has been fascinated by art, following in the footsteps of his mother who was an artist. He has studied art at the University of British Columbia, the Emily Carr Academy of Art and Design, and the Vancouver Academy of Art.
Influential teachers have been Gordon Smith, Marcus Bowcott, Joseph Montague, Michael Britten, Gordon Findlay, and Rob Wilson.
For several years he has been mentored by Paul Chizik, an internationally recognized, and highly regarded Canadian Landscape artist and teacher.
Many of Dennis Brown's paintings are held in private collections across Canada, in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
